Karen's poetic call-out to trail clearers:
The Holidays are over, the wine and the cheer,
with friends and the family we bring in the New Year.
It's time to start clipping and clearing the way,
for horses and riders to ride out all day.
So come all enjoy and see a new trail,
the pleasure of learning to ride what's avail.
Bring clippers and hike as we shed a few pounds,
with rhythm of chain saws about and around.
We meet at this spot so we know what to do,
enjoying the season and good friends like you!
January 2013: We made a big dent in the storm damage on the trail from Rockaway bridge to Meadow and up to Bissell.
Ilaria and Buck were across Meadow for this picture and Agnes had to leave early. These guys are monster chainsaw slingers!
